My dad told me a story of raining frogs in the 1930's in Harford county, MD. At the time people thought it was a sign of end times. It was proven to be a small wind cyclone that picked up frogs out of a pond near where they lived.

@XTRY4NTX Some can be. The majority are still unexplainable.

@XTRY4NTX LOL! Right you are. Who could ever deny GOD was a scientist that created us earthling humans? Plus, creating scientists themselves who find the answer to some of GOD'S mysteries? :)

@Licmycat 'blood' rained from the sky recently in the past 10 years or so and some scientific study was put into it and it was discovered to be spores in the clouds that tinted the rain red so what does that prove? that these storys can be explained scientifically

Clarke makes reference to a collection of books written by Charles Fort. If you've ever read these books, then you would realize that this episode, as well as the angle Clarke takes on this subject, was dirrived from "The Book of The Damned." Fort went to great lengths in verifying and cross referencing material to back up the validity of each claim. They are fascinating reads, especially when one considers the era in which these books were written.

Omg! I've heard and read about this story so many times and just now I realized that the oldest story about it was in the Bible. When in Exodus frogs rained from the sky....and even blood. Kinda proves that was real, doesn't it?

if its true, where are the proofs....pictures?

@Mackingster Yes compared to this they seem to be aimed at 12 yearolds. I get really mad and usualy stop watching when they use the word positive energy for a feeling or sth like that. Here you are given the information in a scientific precise manner and if you dont get it its your problem.

Why can't shows be made like this anymore?
Clarke actually presented the evidence and known facts and let the viewer decide. And even if some proof was sketchy, Clarke would inform you of such bad information.
I watched this series back in 96 and 97 on The Discovery Channel. Recently, I've picked up the "Mysterious World" DVD, but you'll need a region free player to view it.
The narrator sounds downright serious; add the spooky music...Clarke gave us one hell of a series!
