The followers of Sikhism are ordained to follow the teachings of the ten Sikh gurus, or enlightened leaders, as well as the holy scripture entitled the Gurū Granth Sāhib, which, along with the writings of six of the ten Sikh Gurus, includes selected works of many devotees from diverse socio-economic and religious backgrounds. The text was decreed by Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth guru, as the final guru of the Khalsa Panth. Sikhism's traditions and teachings are distinctively associated with the history, society and culture of the Punjab. @SinghMankaran hindus believe in one god that comes in many forms. Original hindu practices also reject idol worship but in kali yug its allowed because most men today have lost the true knowledge of the vedas. Without hinduism there is no sikhism since majority of converts were hindus. There is no hindu there is no muslim that saying is as hindu as u can get.

@TheMorphyrichards I think you may have found your answer, but Sikhs believe in one God, that is true for all, no matter what you call him. Sikhism was createdfrom rejecting hinduism and islam, so you can decide how much we agree. Only something's like monotheism , which comes from other religions too not just islam.

@raj2007ca yes and when you read his final chapters of his SGGS what does he say?? Im no hindu or Muslim...That was his conclusion. Again I do not care if Guru Nanak was a hindu or he became a Muslim in the end i am still his faithfull supporter because of his beliefs and ideologies which I greatly agree with and which caused an enlightened awakening to some citizens of Punjab the "Sikhs". So in the end it doesnt matter to because he's still my Guru.

Millions of sikhs live in Shiv Sena ruled mumbai pune and south india where there were no sikhs in 1947 while sikhs are <25000 in muslim pakistan. 99% of sikhs were driven out with muslims attacking first & muslims expect sikhs to show gratitude to them by making sikhs conspire with muslims against hindus and demonize hindus and India and insult hinduism. muslims were free to multiply like rats into millions in the sikh empire but they can't allow even 1 lakh sikhs 2 live

@dukepanthermako When Nanak went to mecca he was asked if he was a hindu or a muslim and nanak said im hindu. Then the muslim asked o nanak this path is not for the hindus then nanak responded why sirs because in this land they dont let the hindus go. After that incident nanak was asked again if he was a hindu or a muslim and then he responded there is no hindu there is no muslim.  If he said he was a hindu he would of been beheaded and killed like the other 2 sikh gurus
