In order to play the theme 840 times in succession, it would be advisable to prepare oneself beforehand, and in the deepest silence, by serious immobilities".

  • so you're supposed to listen to this for 24 hours straight?

  • @ghoohg551 Nobody is obliged to listen. It is with each one to choose.

  • I think its bieutiful, but imagine this for 18 or 24 houres. you would rather have something to do, don't you? its just to long...

  • @YpsylonFunMagazine Time should simply be taken...

  • @OMaclac Wasn't saying it was bad, just asking what you were supposed to do.

  • @YpsylonFunMagazine Firstly, i really like ur spelling of bootyful. Secondly: We are all on our way to the graveyard and non of us will be late. So there's no reason to hurry.Even if life is short.

I got leukemia and found the time to listen to it. I have nothing to do, and LOTS of time... lol.

  • @ghoohg551 No. Not straight. Gay!

  • @elpactodejohnson1 Satie never instructed that this piece should last for 24 hours. He only wrote something in the score about it being played 840 times, but not that it SHOULD be played that much. The first time they did that, it lasted for 18 hours.

  • @mahler151 i did it, thats why i said what i said. and now of course im not listening....

  • @elpactodejohnson1

    Then don't listen.

  • @PatrioticGiraffe1 I assume the intention of a 24 hour piece is to be special, different of the rest. Well, i dont feel the piece make justice for that long time you are supposed to listen to..

  • any random notes piece played 840 times would produce the same effect... nothing special here..
