Playing with one of the power shields for Mosquino, an Arduino-based platform for low power and energy harvesting projects. Here the power supply is a Peltier device sitting on top of an aluminum heatsink I had lying around. The power shield starts up at about 30mV (corresponding to a 2-3degC temperature difference across the device), and boosts 3-5V output into a storage cap. (For this video the LED is wired directly across the power rails to show the switched output cycling on and off as the LED uses up the available power immediately.)
