Heyyy i got my elastic bands on about a week ago and they still hurt like hell. How long do you think they are gonna hurt for? I really can't deal with this pain at the moment. And i'm the same as you i have my braces for about 18 months and i've had them since June last year.

I have to say, they bothered me for almost 2 weeks. What got me the most was my jaw and the bottom of the back of my head. You can tell where movement is happening because of the rubber bands. I wish I could say it goes away right away, but mine didn't. I have a feeling I will be going thru it again come this Weds. Bracing myself. Keep remembering what the final "product" is going to look like.......it will be worth it in the end.

Wow 3 years of braces. I hope and pray mine won't be that long. I was told 1 1/2 - 2 years. You're right though about the results being worth it. I'm already enjoying how my teeth are looking and that is with a crossbite still! Thanks for the vote of confidence, those are what keep me going. Take care............

Hey, just checking in to see how braces are going for you? I got my spacers in on Tuesday - they hurt like a #$a%@&, but complaining will not make it any better. The fact that they hurt so much makes me very scared about the actual braces. So, did you get colored ligatures when you first got your braces on or did you go with the inconspicuous silver ones? Oh well, wish me luck next Tuesday, I will need it. I will try to get videos of the procedure posted to youtube

Hey, good luck getting your braces next Tuesday. Yes, they hurt, but not until the next couple days. That is when you really start feeling the pressure. The spacers are uncomfortable for sure. It helps to take something before you go, especially for the adjustment appts. Those are the worst. The poking and probing can bring tears to your eyes! My 2 front teeth are always tender and it seems they are the ones that are pushed on. I look forward to the pictures. I will have a video on soon.

I am dreading elastics!!! I counted and I have 12 hooks in my mouth!! I hope they dont plan on useing them all!!!....

i got my elastics today!!! i have 3/16" heavy on both sides.... and mine are in a triangle in the very front (if that means anything.) idk so far so gud.. not 2 bad... but i just got them on a few hrs ago!! so who knows :P but yah! we will def see tomorrow...
