Installing Universal Spark Plug Wires and Heat Shield Products :: Modern Muscle X

Tim, a Prestolite Performance engineer, demonstrates how to make a set of spark plug wires using ACCEL Universal High Temperature Super Stock Wires. Tim also gives one of his trade secrets of spraying the terminal with a non-corrosive lubricant to slide the boot onto the wires.

To protect your wires and spark plug boots from melting and electrical issues, Tim recommends a few heat shield products from the Prestolite Performance family of brands, including the Mr. Gasket Inferno Shield Exhaust Wrap.

iIn the instructions it says to put the boot on before installing the crimp end. Its easier said then done. I fought trying to get the wire through the boot and out the other side like the instructions say and I couldnt get the wire to bend enough to make the 90 degree bend of the boot.

I ended up returning the wire set and the crimp tool and just got my money back.

Doesn't show how he gets the boot on without breaking it. That's the part where I'm stuck.
