I had one of these, it looked like a rocket car.I remember when the zip handle broke, which made the car useless. I think it still in a box in my parents basement.

@jhzab666 Actually, I saw some of these SSP's re-manufactured by another company at Toy's R Us about 10 years ago. Of course they were different models than the original 70's cars, but they were still pretty cool! I should have bought one for myself, but didn't. I was X-Mas shopping for all of the kids on my wifes side of the family. There were 4 different cars. Got one each for my nephews. Never did see them play with them. Don't think they still have them anymore. =(

I had a mini Blue Laker special that Citgo gas stations offered when I was a kid. I felt like such big stuff bringing that to kindergarten. All the little boys who usually picked on me wanted to be my friend that day!
