  • @Crake777 Thank you very much. My puppy is 6 months old now and he is calming down. When I give him treats, I warn him first so he takes it gently. Thank you very much for the suggestion.

  • @eugie73 - We taught our pup to slow down on meals and to stop nipping when offered treats by taking the food then after a short break giving it back. With meals we would put the dish up on a counter for 2-5 minutes then give it back. With treats, if she nipped while going for it we took it away and offered it again in 30s -2 minutes. Once she understood that even if the food went away it would come back she wasn't nearly so grabby and possessive. Doesn't even mind kitty eating out of her dish!

  • that's a nice trick man thx

  • this is genius. thank you for this.

  • Does it really work? My puppy eats like it's the end of the world. If I give him a treat he will rip my fingers off. It hurts.

  • This dog needs raw meat

  • this is genius idea if someone cannot afford those brake fast bowls. it seems to work!

  • oh i love this! my dog eats about that fast...she just wolfs it down!! I have tried tennis balls and everything nothing works.. i will try this in just a second thanks so much!

  • This is a good cheap easy alternative to those Brake-Fast and DogPause bowls!
