Megurine Luka - THE "WANDERLAST" ( Romaji + English subs)

In JRPGs, I hear a lot of female characters with Japanese voice acting say "boku" even if they are female. Often assassins, military captains, athletic girls, or others who don't act stereotypically "girly".
Could otomo explain the reason?
My guess was that they choose not to present themselves as overly "girly". Perhaps they feel their role is too serious and "feminine" mannerisms won't come across as serious enough.
Anyway, if they can do it, Luka may do it for the same reason.

I think that people will still look a bit weird at you if you say that you're on otaku, but it's getting better I think.. It all happened because of one guy mass murdering people and another one copying him, and yea- they were both otaku. So there's a little stereotypical view of otaku now.. ><

@sevencoloredwar 1. Aaa mou, Doudemo ii! Anata no shinjitsu (belief, this is the first time I write this, so I might be wrong) ga anata no shinjitsu, boku no shinjitsu ga boku no shinjitsu, owari da..... Boku wa tsukareta
2. Ah, now I'm remember....... what's with public's view of our kind? (a big sweatdrop appears on my head and vertical purple lines appeared under my eyes, which is looking to the side with a gaze that yonder far)

@BYKBYM1 That's why I'm saying, the anime girls that are acting like the real ones isn't possible, because real girls don't act that way..
Fujoshi is kinda like the female version of otaku -mostly the ones who keep themselves busy w/ yaoi-, it's really funny/weird, you write it like rotten girls in kanji. XD
-
@sevencoloredwar Real life girls won't act like anime girls do, but what I meant here is the reverse, the Anime girls are the one who act like real ones
etoo.... Fujoshi te nani?
-
@BYKBYM1 of course is anime based on real life but tell me honestly, do you really think that the girls in Japan act as the girls in anime?
Sore ni, atashi datte cho otaku -teyuuka docchika te ittara fujoshi- dayo. XD
-
@sevencoloredwar 1. Most of the Animes I watch copies the real life as much as possible
2. Boku wa nihonjin ja nai, demo, boku wa HARDCORE no otaku
-
@BYKBYM1 I'm sorry but you shouldn't confuse anime w/ real life. ^^;.. &Are you Jap? I mean, I think that I do know more about my own culture than you..

@sevencoloredwar some are like that, but some are just born that way, try watching "Kanon" and you'll know what I mean...
The creator's blog states that the singer of this song is female in some extra info.

@KuroiNoOu
Is it true? I was not able to find where of sasakure.UK's blog it was.
By the way, the PSP mini game "Miku UTA OKAWARI" based on "*Hello Planet" was sold by SEGA.
In that story, the central character is male and I felt that this lyrics was made by him.
