Gowinta Farms is the Sunshine Coast's largest privately owned farm, open to the public 5 days a week. Our cafe sells fresh seasonal produce which is grown on our 600 acre property.

Enjoy lychees in January and buy them direct from the farm gate. We're also the Sunshine Coast's largest strawberry farm located just 4.5km from Australia Zoo in Beerwah.

We're always looking for backpackers to work during strawberry season and occasionally at other times of the year. Register online for jobs at www.gowinta.com.au

  • We've bought ours as a young tree and they've taken approximately 5 years to reach this size. Our harvest period is anywhere between Xmas day and the first week of February. Watering is done only when required only because we have a rich underground table of water that the trees feed off naturally.

  • im so bummed i live in colorado right now. . .

  • Don't forget to feed them to your giant robot named Lychee.

  • Yummy!

  • @Zabatsion Read my inst. on how to make a Lychee tree on this comments page. After roots are seen then cut off the branch long enough so the roots will be in the pot, but bottom of branch should hit bottom of pot to make it stable. (fragile roots) mild sun at first and keep moist. Plan on making 10 or so air layers, not all make roots, Any extras give to neighbors. They will be begging for fruit from your tree in about 2-3 years.

  • Lychees are produced by air-layering. Choose a stem from the tree you like, brewster is best variety. Next choose branch about half inch in diameter. Cut about half inch of bark around the whole branch. It should slip off. Next take sphangum peat moss or reg. peat moss and soak it in water. Wrap the moss around the cut part and cover into a ball with plastic. Pl. from bread loafs is good Cover with tin foil so the sun doesn't burn it. Remove the tinfoil in one and half months. Should see roots.

  • question 4 u.. 1- do u plant the seed, or a steem? 2- how long it takes to grow for the tree and 3- once a tree grow how often you harvest from the same tree , 4-how often you water the tree?
