  • You are exactly right, my doc never told me about the heroin-like withdrawal and I went thru it and didn't know what ws happening to me, horifying, intense insomnia, brain zaps, profuse sweating, Hell on Earth. Titrate down to quit. I'm glad I'm off the garbage. Now I can smile again and be happy. Paxil, etc...., are EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. Paxil is the most dangerous drug on the market now, it's low half life makes it the worst of the SSRI's. Obviiously, I fired my doctor.

  • Great video!

SSRIs are evil! Avoid them at all costs!

  • I am on Fluoxetine 20 mg cap for the 2nd time. The first time around lasted for about a week perhaps 2. I did not notice anything so i stoped taking it. went back to the Dr today. Passed out the other day out of the blue, cold sweat, today they did a EKG or something like that and atm i have some thing i have to pac around for 24 hours to watch my heart beats. still on the Flueoxetine. When i asked what it was they said its a type of prozac or how ever you spell it.

  • thing is i don't know what i'd do without my prozac. i feel better with it.

  • @koolkeystone Please don't compare SNRI withdrawal to opiate withdrawal. I've been through both several times, and comparing the two is absurd.

  • i started taking 40mg daily of prozac 6 years ago,4 years ago i went cold turkey for 12 weeks,i suffered the worst hell of my life,i felt like a hot knife was being pushed in my back,i had uncontrolable thoughts of killing my mother,or myself,i had nightmares, sweating, shaking, burning skin, muscle cramps numbness in my body, brain aches, eye aches, stiffness all over.the list just gos on and on.i had to take them again and have suffered ever since, although it is better,im down to one 5th of a tablet

  • Ever try getting off Effexor? Hell x 100!!

  • I dont take this toxic crap. I dont lisen to my scumbag psychiatrist what he says. he thinks I been taking these prozac pills but im not. That stuff can kill you.

  • @geegee765 Withdrawals depend on how long you were taking the meds for. I can't remember if it was a week or month per year you were on them. So 7-8 years (which is a LONG time taking psych drugs when they are only approved for like 6 weeks) might give you withdrawals for 7 weeks/months. It won't be fun, but you will feel better off them. If the withdrawals get too bad a very small dosage of the drug can help.

  • I've been on Prozac for 7-8 years and just a couple months ago I stopped cold turkey. I get brain zaps, i have lots of trouble sleeping and i can't wait until the withdrawals stop. How long dose it usually take?

  • Prozac is different for everyone but most have trouble with it. It took a while for me and it was a nightmare. On it and off of it but I'm fully off of it now. Good video, Prozac, Paxil, etc are horrible. Psychiatrists need to take this more seriously.
