The Lee Bennett Hopkins Award is given by the Pennsylvania Center for the Book and the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association to the best book of poetry for children each year.
In this 2010 ceremony, Poetry Committee chair Dustin Brackbill reads selections from authors receiving Honorable Mentions for the award: Betsy Franco, Helen Frost, and Mary Ann Hoberman. He also introduces this year's winner of the award: Alice Schertle. Her reading may be seen in Part 2 of this video.
