@cyclesomewhere that doesn't make it less cheesy and lame to me. the joke you are referring to isn't what i find so cheesy and lame about this, it's the scene as a whole. it's a typical old style sitcom cameo which personally i find to be an outdated form of comedy writing. i have nothing against Ed at all.

That's a riff from the new album..cool

@timmy47 You'd only get the joke if you were a VH geek back then (which means they were really reaching for this one!)... here's the deal
When VH released their III album, Eddie had that quote going around about how "some of his best inspiration hits him when he's sitting on the toilet". He actually said (whoops) he put a recording rig in his bathroom... and the joke is --- that album came out sounding like total shit!
So Eddie's actually bagging on himself here, way to go Ed.

This was stupid.

@sonicoclv55 this scene was cheesy and lame. i'm sure artists would not turn something like this down, but what i'm saying is....well...it's cheesy and lame and i would think we would have gone away from that style of sitcom writing. it just seems forced.

@timmy47 NO actually I think its become something artists want to do which is to appear on two and half men at least back in the day. How many famous musicians would say yes to this invitation? FAns enjoy seeing artists in a different light. Eddie needed to do something like this and his classic grin at the end says it all.

VAN HALEN ACTUALLY HAD NORMAL HAIR????

god you'd think by now sitcoms would move away from these cheesy cameos. actually you'd think by now most sitcom style humour would be gone. nothing against eddie though

Can't believe it but I think Charlie Sheen is in wayyyy better shape than Eddie V
F'ing Eddie Van Halen!!!, that guy is the MAN, he has an incredible style and sound on the guitar that is unmatched, even by these so called virtuoso guitarists that do these Arpeggios and Sweeping techniques that get boring after about 2 minutes, this guy can keep you interested because he INVENTED this shit.... Rock on Eddie
