  • @shananagans5 Yeah, it's really impressive! I didn't like the idea of it at first but she did seem to be very happy to put it on so, as long as she's happy, then I guess it is ok. The sad thing is, even though we are starting to understand that these, and many other creatures, have equal emotions to our own, humans remain to kill and ruin their lives. It makes me so sad to think that soon there might not be any more of these incredible non-human persons.

  • @LadyGrinningSoul I would think Koko likes the sweater. Gorillas get cold easily so she probably realizes the sweater helps & in the Koko doc she helps put it on so my guess is she would choose it on a cold day but I am not positive on that. She clearly doesn't object to it. lol I think it's cruel but my mothers dog wears a sweater & even comes running to put it on. I think lots of animals are smarter than they are generally given credit for. Maybe some understand & like the clothing.

  • @UniteForgetLeftRight I'm not sure about music but Koko, the gorilla who does sign language, likes movies, particularly romance movies, they say. She also wears sweaters when it's cold and though I don't know if she would put it on by choice, she does have a preference for which sweater she wears. So, they are capable of having likes and favourites, so far as I can tell.

  • @VonTavast well i wasn't thinking about vocalizations but of course they do that, they also break sticks and bash things around to make noise, i remember reading about a chimp that found some empty gas cans and learned he could be really loud slamming them around, your right though its a pretty petty disagreement

  • @UniteForgetLeftRight Ah yes I think I understand your theory there but it is a little bit far-fetched don't you think? If they actually could like some sort of music, it would have to be totally different from what we consider music, since what you're basing on there is shouting, so they would have to be interested in shouting of some sort. I don't know, this argument is rather stupid to be having anyway haha.
