  • idc how long it takes you to respond but how did you draw out the planes????????

  • @ps2genius2247

what are you talking about ?

  • My son is 11 and he aspires to having a career where he draws the 3D animation for movies. I want to get a program so that he can learn 3d-drawing.

I saw several programs mentioned on You Tube

3ds max 6.0 3d max VRay Adobe Premiere Pro & AFX 5.5 Truespace XD AutoDesk 3D Studio Max 2010

Any advice on what is suitable for his age group, price, where to purchase, free downloads?

Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks

Best thing to do is use google, but You've got Daz studio which is quite cheap, Gmax, free version of 3ds max..

There is a world of 3d programs but the leading one's are mainly 3ds max and Maya, both products of Autodesk.

There is Zbrush for creating a 3d characters or objects, bit like clay modelling in the real world.

All depends on what is wants to do ?

All autodesk and Adobe products all come with a free 30 day licence, might as well give them a go and get a feel for them

  • if its not too much trouble, could you try linking me the reference images, cause i can't find any good fish reference on the web . . .

    thanks : )

  • Look on my profile mate, watch part 0 they are on there

  • @MsDeeHee1 If you want something really simple (and free), look up Wings 3D. Everything is basically a right click away, and it can help get him used to modeling.

  • @MsDeeHee1 Blender's free, and it's coming out with a Maya interface option

  • where can i download the pictures?

  • @MsDeeHee1

If your still interested in finding a program for your son, get him to check out Blender 3D. Its an open source 3d modelling/animation program. Its released freely for commercial use and is great for beginners. There is great community of Blender 3D users and tutorials out there.
