Windows 7. Network access issue resolved. I have wireless at home and wired at work. I go back and forth from home to office and I connect automatically to the wireless at home no problems. I connect to the office and have local access no problem to printers and file shares, but Internet access doesn't work until I do this little fix, every day so far. If anyone knows a permanent solution, let me know. Once more peice of info, I have Rogers at both home and office for Internet.

  • So, here's an update. I changed my router for different reasons and guess what? This problem is no more! This confirms what paulDIAT was saying.

  • i have wireless problems can you mKE A TUTORIAL

  • Sure I can. Please give me some detail about the problem you are having.

  • Hi I am completly the same problem as you, I solved it somehow? Please advice how to

  • Hey electropirates! Did you mean you solved it or you want to know how did I solve it? I haven't really solved it yet, it's no where near as bad as it was since I got those Windows updates done. Another solution is update your network driver from the manufacturers website, which I haven't had time to do yet, and/or update your router, if it is too old to support Windows 7, which I've heard roomer of. It's all about hardware compatibility. Hope this helps.

  • this never worked out for this i phoned telkom and they say im caped but sometimes i get internet access and sometimes no internet access

  • @mjw9363 try searching for it on your local disk on your pc

  • @mjw9363 What's the error message you get when you try to install? Maybe you have to right click on the installer and select "Run as administrator". Let me know if you have problems still and please write the details here.

  • OK I found a working solution: 2 steps

    1. Reset your IE Internet Settings: TOOLS / Internet Options/ Advanced >> RESET.

    2. On START MENU RUN Command: msconfig

then in the General TAB Select NORMAL START UP, and the APPLY, if it is already set ti that, click any other choice like Diagnostic start up, then back to Normal Startup, (so that you can hut the APPLY button. Then reboot. THAT IS ALL. Worked perfectly for me.

  • srry i already found the solution put i appreciate the help
