  • @Seaworldexists They aren't mandated to carry out the death penalty. It's just an option, and a bad one imo. Also, defining innocence has nothing to do with it and makes no sense to even bring up. By your logic, the laws themselves are unjust because who defined the laws in the first place and who are they to define innocence? In fact, since I wasn't there when the laws were being made and defined, why should they still apply to me? You see how little sense that makes right.

  • @Hashbrowniepie Whose to define innocent though? Can a single individual decide you guilty and exact vengence? The state has a mandate to execute the laws it passes and this cannot be compared to crime.

  • @Seaworldexists it's murder if you kill an innocent person so what you're saying makes absolutely no sense.

  • Killing is what the USA i built on

  • Alaskaslim, ammo is cheap. No need for maintaining anything too costly. And I am all for letting those 10 guilty men go free. AS LONG AS THE PEOPLE THAT FREED THEM ARE HELD RESPONCIBLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS.

  • @monkiejockie

"Let the bleeding harts pay for the food and things to keep these people alive and well cared for. "

That actually costs less than the maintaining the devices used to kill them.

Devices which have also killed innocent people, I might add.

'It's better that 10 guilty men go free than one innocent man be wrongly convicted'

  • The thing about calling the death penalty murder is that by extenstion a fine is theft, imprisonment is kidnapping, taxation is slavery.

  • Lets see how Penn would feel if hid daughter was raped and murdered.

Lets ask that Holocaust survivor if we should have killed Hitler and the other high ranking Nazis who were torturing people.

The death penalty is gory and harsh, but for the worst crimes it is justified.

  • Let the bleeding harts pay for the food and things to keep these people alive and well cared for. Give me a place on my tax form that will allow me to exclude any monies paid in to taxs, from going to that end, and maybe I'll change my mind. doubt it, but never say never.
