this is wonderful! she is great. and of course, sam is the best of the best.
seen them both in concert, but not together. i hope to experience that.

@rockininwpg Funny, reminds me of younger days and I would hear a Beatles song in an elevator. I hated it!
Now I really enjoy many different versions of the same song. Looked for Buddy Miller's version so I could hear it too. Know where I might find it?

Very nice song, love Sam and Emmylou's singing, just wish Sam would do a howling solo on that mandolin!! A la Marty Stuart. That's the only thing missing, to make it extra special. It's very pleasant otherwise. Sam needs to cut loose and PLAY!! I think it could have been added without making the song cluttered or lose its rythm or character. Thanks!

Speaking of the Millers' version -- is that excessive autotune I hear on Julie's voice on and off? Sure sounds like it.

Honestly, Julie Miller's voice is kind of annoying. I prefer this version right off the bat for that reason. As far as "simplified", I'm not sure exactly where you're getting that from...
Both versions are excellent though.

Sorry, but after listening to Buddy Miller's original version of this song for 5 years (from 2001's Buddy and Julie Miller CD), this version just comes off as flat from the opening vocals on. By appearing in the video, Buddy has obviously given Sam his blessing, but this is not the definitive version and I found it to be simplified and disappointing. And, oh yeah, Emmylou is always hot....
