Elton Live ta Earl's Court 12 May 1976 on the 1st leg of the "Louder Than Concorde(but not quite as pretty)" Tour. The back up singer in the striped shirt is Cindy Bullens who was a Boston Girl that crashed a studio party(she worked as a back up singer) in 1975 and was asked to go on the West Of The Rockies tour and the rest is History. Cindy would have her 1st hit in 1979 with "Survivor". This was Elton's peak without question. Great tour and band.

  • I went to the Philly show on the second leg of this tour (Louder than Concorde but not as pretty.) I was 13 and was already a huge Elton fan. I get goose bumps just watching these recordings from this tour. It takes me back like I'm right there and it's yesterday. I literally well up with tears. I love him the same today as I did at age 13, 35 years ago.

  • Where did you find this video? Can someone tell me please which is the VHS or DVD that contains it? Many thanks.

  • I feel like you Eltonizer :)

  • I'm 21....and one of the things I wish for is that I was born 30 years earlier, so I could have grown up with great music....like Elton, Queen, Rod Stewart, Dean Martin, the list goes on. They'll be listened to long after most of the crappy music of this generation! I've seen Elton and Rod for example many times in concert, they just keep getting better and better!!!

  • ELTON JOHN BAND on tour : Elton John-( The genius gay on piano -vocals.) Davey Johnstone ( the blond guy on gutar) Caleb Quayle ( the black guy on guitar) Kenny Passarelly ( the brunette guy on guitar) Ray Cooper (the crazy genius on tambourine&percussion) Roger Poppe ( the goatie bearded one on drums) James Newton Howard (the genius on synthetizers keyboards )

  • Il pezzo mi piace moltissimo , non lo conoscevo, pur essendo un estimatore di vecchia data di Elton: molto ben strutturate le percussioni,in sintesi un ottimo esempio di rock anni 70!!!

  • I had a stray cat named Hercules. He was the greatest animal friend I ever had. One day after a few years he went away and never came back, He broke my heart. Dennis T.

  • First time I saw EJ, it was 11-28-74 at Madison Sq. Garden. He brought John Lennon on stage as a guest artist. Great night. Last live stage appearance that Lennon ever gave.

  • this band definitely kicked some ass, i wish i was older so that i would have gotten the chance to see them live.. i'm all for having the original guys around now.. but elton's late 70s albums couldn't have been pulled off without having guys around like Caleb Quaye, Roger Pope, Kenny Passarelli.. they just kicked some serious ass.. driving bass lines, drum fills galore.. just a tight sound all around.. it can never be duplicated. Davey is is the man, too.

  • great stuff, but can't the video b fixed?
