Barack Obama visits Grand Rapids, Michigan

Barack Obama finally came to Michigan after refusing to visit for the better part of a year.

Nice of him to finally make it. He spoke at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI. Some friends and I went out to see what the hub-bub was all about and let him know what we thought of his foreign policy, too!

Both Obama and Clinton agreed not to campaign in Michigan - Obama waited until he was sure he had the nomination. The fact that Clinton put her name on the ballot and tried to "steal" Michigan votes did do damage to the Democratic party, so you are right there. Going to war with Iraq was wrong, but not a mistake - it was intentionally wrong. Millions of dollars and a lot of oil have gone missing, and it is no coincidence. I think it is now time to admit we were wrong about a lot of things.

Rather than laughing at the Obama supporters that were waving the flags, I would be embarrassed that the protest was so poorly-conceived and poorly-executed that nobody knew what you were doing and why (and that you therefore utterly failed to get your message across that you feel Obama is weak on national defense). Instead, your presence there probably helped drive up the count of Obama supporters by those viewing the rally and cemented the perception that he has widespread public support.
