Government run health-care IS socialism. I can't speak for Republicans but the conservative view is that government controlled health-care falls within the purview of the individual states - not within the province of the federal government. Massachusetts wants Romney-care? Hope it works out for them. It is certainly not constitutional federally and probably not in accord with many , if not all, of the states' constitution.

The problem with republicans is they disagree with everything the democrats do, or say, yet they don't put up any alternatives to the argument. They simply say "Obama care is socialism" (yet "obamacare" is actually Mitt Romney's health care plan) and they dont offer any alternative. I have not seen or heard one republican come out and detail the idea's they would have on an alternative health care bill.
