Japanese Community Welcomes Braves Pitcher Kawakami

Before signing veteran pitcher Kenshin Kawakami, Atlanta Braves management first sought assurances that a Japanese player would be comfortable living here.

After two meetings at the consulate and reviewing the number of Japanese companies and organizations here, they had little doubt that Atlanta could make the 33-year-old right-hander feel at home.

I'm very delighted to see Kenshin in a Braves uniform, the Braves can make a whole lot of money off the Japanese baseball fans at Braves games. Also we should purchase more Japanese talent in the near future.
