  • I saw Zeppelin '75, Deep Purple '74 &76, Stones '77,The Who '78,and a bunch more. But my biggest regret is not getting to see Janis live in Concert. Man o man she was and is great. No one put so much energy into a song. Todays acts couldnt carry her spit bucket. She was/ is the Queen of Rock, the Queen of Funk. RIP baby, we miss you.

  • Janis was a seasoned performer by this time....the problem with many of today's talent is that they don't need to have experience to become huge...they don't have to earn their way to the top because EVERYONE who has ANY kind of talent today is scrutinized beyond belief by the media and their fate is decided upon judges and the rest of the world to decide.....of course there are exceptions but all of these tv contests are producing people with no substance.

  • Awesome upload! thanks!

  • @low72 Why I remember the 70s just like the back of my ummmm??? LOL. Oh those were great times. So much simpler. We had 8 tracks, CBs and no cell phones or computers, and some how we all survived. Bands actually played their instruments and really sang. Wish I could take a time machine, go back and stay there.

  • @MegaBob77777 If you can remember the 70's, it's obvious you weren't there ;)

  • @MegaBob777 QFT, Janis has no equal. I dare others!

  • Dare i say the greatest female singer of all. Will always love her music and her soul!

  • God what would I give to have been there and to have seen these legends... What happened to that music? I am 14 years old and watching the biography of Woodstock and I would have killed to see Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix... I would have killed to be born in that era- the perfect age of Rock N Roll...

  • @MrFatcat1968 PS: Ive been a follower of Tommys ever since after that concert. IMO, he was one of the all time greatest, no doubt.

  • @MrFatcat1968 Yes, I was a very lucky SOB. When I saw Tommy w Purple, I had no idea who he was at the time. Id be lyin if I said I did. I saw MKII and MKIV,and IMO, Tommy and IV just rocked the place. He was a great showman, all over the stage, playing to the crowd. DP was always a great live show. Ritchie was awesome for sure, but he'd play with his back to the crowd, stayed by himself, there was no interaction with the rest of band. IMO, IV was definitely a kick ass R&R show. The best

  • @MegaBob77777 Wow, you saw Deep Purple in 76? I would loved to have seen Purple with Tommy Bolin, he's in my top three favourite players.

  • all you guys keep analyzing great music, why don't you try just a little bit ...
