I wrote this song and made this video to honor the men of the 49th North Carolina Infantry Regiment and all the men who fought in the Civil War, no matter which side of the line they were on! I am a member of the 49th NC Re-enactment Unit. Visit our website at www.49nct.org.

  • My Great Grandfather was Lt Jeptha Sherrill (Catawba Cty). He assisted Capt

Chenault in forming what would be Company I. Jeptha fought at Malvern Hill but died of desease shortly after on the march back to Petersburg after the end of the 7 Days Battle.

    I like the song ! Thanks !

  • My Great Grandfather served in Company A of the 49th Infantry CSA.

My Great Uncle (his brother), was killed in the trenches at Petersburg.

Would love to hear more about the unit.

    Thanks, T. Smart

  • Enjoyed the video very much. Yo don't give yourself enough credit. You give honor to the 49th. Maybe see you at Latta Plantation last week-end in March. Paul & Lily at The Eagles Nest Sutlery.

  • Hey, Ron! Steve from the 49th. Great video, great song. God bless ya!
