  • I wasn't too far away from you when you filmed this... what a great tribute. Rockin' Dopsie Jr.'s washboard playing was transcendent - the best I've ever seen him.

Watching Sonny and Lil' Buck play together was also a huge treat.

But Clifton Chenier was truly the King of Zydeco. There will never be another like him. Check out his live CD's -Live at St. Mark's on Arhoolie is my favorite

  • The drummer at that time was Kevin Menard. Now replaced with Charles ?

  • Along with Sonny Landreth, that's the great Paul, Little Buck Senegal on guitar. One of Cliff's original guys in the Red Hots, later out with Buckwheat. Buckwheat's son Reginald Dural has the scrubboard on the right, Dopsie's son David (Rockin' Dopsie Jr.) has the scrub on the left. And that's Buckwheat's longtime bass player, Lee Allen Zeno. Can't see the drummer...

  • PS; mdfest

    Do youve part 2 :-)

  • Nice to see his son and.... Mr Sonny Landreth

  • Kick ass !!!

    American style
