I was leaving work to get onto the 404 right after it had rained all day. My tires were cold because the 404 was really close to my workplace and I decided to push the onramp a little too fast. My tires are also mad old and pretty sketchy on the center, so when I tried to upright my bike at the exit of the turn the bike slid right out from under me. This video was taken right after I got home from the crash.

I picked up the bike right after the crash, gave it a once over to make sure things were in half decent order and rode home quickly so that someone wouldn't call the cops.

I ended up rashing up my leg pretty nicely but other than that I'm fine tho. so all is well :)

  • Reviewing this awesome video now - after I slid with the front wheel on the gravel. Boy that was fast. I'm taking my time to recover my sprained ankle now.. Need to get on the bike soon.

A follow up video - would've been awesome man :)

  • Dude glad u got that out o the way. Believe it or not you will be way more comfortable riding now knowing you got that out of the way. How much experience with bikes did you have? Noticed u Said u sucked at riding... Is this your first bike?

  • Looks like you're ready to do a nekkid conversion and get rid of the fairings!

  • Dude, I'm sorry about your accident.

The video, however is hilarious. I really enjoyed your sense of humor.

Anything that doesn't kill you makes you smarter :)

  • hang in there man. At least you still have a sense of humor about it :-) Glad you are okay. Bikes can be replaced. Ride safe

  • Dude - I did exactly the same thing. It was raining, I came out of my place, first turn onto a major road and the back end spun out. Bike high sided, and has 2k worth of damage. My leg was hurting, busted rib, bruised, and sore big toe!

I went back today and noticed a load of oil on the road. I supsect 1) wet, 2) cold tyres, 3) reving (even lightly from me), 4) shit road = skidding down the road.

Glad to hear you're OK tho!

  • He totally had me at that one, too! HAHA!

  • Biig idiot :)
