In this video I show you my version of the Stewart Copeland groove in the middle of 'Walking On The Moon'

He uses a delay, but I never had that set up, and you can mimic the delay by just playing more notes :)

  • Superb video! Can I ask are you using rebound on those fast double strokes in the para-diddle i.e. is it Rr Ll or is it more RR LL (assuming lowercase is a rebound stroke)?

    Thanks.

  • @TheEponymous1 Thanks. They're never purely rebounds - there's always control and I always aim to try and even out the volume. However, the doubles always utilise the bounce as much as possible. I'd call them controlled rebounds.

  • One of the most influential musicians in all of my drumming. I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

Thanks Joe! You've been working hard for us!

  • @sheldonknowsall Stewart is great. Such an individual style and more energy than any other drummer I can think of.

  • 5:31 you can also call that a 6 stroke roll :) just without the gap

  • @thickpooxbox360 thanks ;) I should learn my rudiments I suppose.
