@apcwebsite Blumenfeld would actually laugh at this. I have read his book; nowhere does it write about what you are doing. Same with Guyton. Looking to the left makes you stronger?
Also, the point of doing a physical exam is to find objective findings. You can not say "this will be weaker" and then test strength.

The burden of proof is on the individual claiming that distending someone's neck while they look to the upper left helps their knee pain. Not saying it's impossible, but that's an extraordinarily unintuitive claim and extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Ummm, I'm not the one calling people names like a five year old; so I think you're the one needing to grow up.
-
@Tracy137 Hey Tracy, you sound bat-shit crazy to me! Grow up freak!
-
I should also add that if you wish to stop this rather pointless argument, then that is fine by me. However, I was more than happy to discuss how chiropracty (sp?) worked for me and many others I've chatted to about it. It seems you are reluctant to be proven wrong in your assumptions, very well then.

No, dear child; adults usually only allow people they know and like to use their christian names. I neither know nor like you, so why should I allow you to use my name? Using my screen name unless I say otherwise is only a common curtesy as far as forums and websites go. Of course I wouldn't expect you to either know, understand or abide by that.s

I am not a victim; I went with a doubtful mind and was proven wrong. At least I am adult enough to admit it. Sadly you are not. I can respond quite logically thank you and have done so. It is only that you have chosen not to respond to those points. Sadly then the fault lies with you.
-
Oh text speak; thank you so much for that - at least I now have an idea of the age group I am responding to. Perhaps when you go to senior high school you might understand what the grown ups are talking about. Having a thirteen year old daughter myself I do sympathise with your attitude that you THINK you know everything......sadly, though, you don't.

@Tracy137 Big words??? Which ones do you not understand. Ahhh...I got it, you're the true intellectual. I, plus all the medical doctors I know and have treated are pseudo-intellectuals. Thank you, Dr 137. I understand it now. Eureka! You made my day!!
If you understand neurology you understand that nocoreception creates 1a deaffrentation to cerebellem which creates decrease raticular efferent firing creating ipsilateral extensor muscle weakness. I agree I should test at the knee which I will do in the future. I advise you do learn more about functional neurology, look up the Carrick institute for graduate studies. Doc Moe

It appears the ill will expressed is due to a lack of knowledge in the area. There is a significant difference between a functional deficit and an ablative lesion. It would behoove you to review Guyton & Hall, Kandel & Schwartz as well as Blumenfeld. Then, read Walther's - Applied Kinesiology. The Carrick Institute also lends credence. I invite you to the clinic. Let's discuss neurology.
