My husband decided to get rid of the Yellow Jackets in the front yard by lighting them on fire!
He first tried a glitter hairspray...it was what he could find! Then he used WD40 to much success!

My four year old son enjoyed it immensely!

  • REAAAAAL smart. Especially with a kid around. YJ stings can be deadly. Idiot.

  • crushed yellow jackets release pheromones that incite other yellow jackets to sting, burned yellow jackets do not. No one was hurt other than yellow jacket in the making of this video!

spray can not explode cuz inside is no oxygen ;)

when i was 15-16 i was doing a lot of things with those and only way to blow them is to put all in fire until it all gets hot and explodes from EXPANSION not from flammable materials inside.

i got sting by huge hornet yesterday and nothing happened. i think Yellow jackets are less dangerous.

And if people are allergic they usually know that and don`t go in such situations ;)

  • WD40 or PB Blast works better without the fire. the oil kills them.

  • Was Dennis mad?

    Im most concerned about Dennis

  • Proof of the need for occasional natural selection.

  • poor kids

  • rednecks.

  • People, this is very RISKY. Yellow jackets can go into attack mode when there are loud noises or vibrations (like that from a Shop Vac). Google Eugenol oil. It is all natural oil in a spray form that kills bees instantly and it is safe for the environment and a lot less dangerous than this redneck way of getting rid of yellow jackets.

  • I'm sorry. But this is not smart so many levels.

    1. Doing this around a kid teaches him how to exactly misuse fire and accelerants.

    2. The flame can travel to the spray nozzle, go inside of the can and cause an explosion.

    3. This guy could have hurt himself and the people around him.

You have to be smarter with a kid around!!!
