This and "High Falls" (from Win, Loose or Draw) -- two fine pieces of music.
I wish that many rock bands had produced a whole lot more instrumentals.

Just too bad that Dickey and the band are estranged for so long now. I think he burned a bridge but it just doesn't seem right that they get to perform his songs.

Timeless...classic...and music that lifts your spirits. Have seen the Allmans many times and each time was memorable and sensational. If they ever play within 500 miles of where you are, go. They are American icons and I can't even imagine what life would have been without them

Even he did not realize how old this track was. What he did know was how good it was. He's working on Ramblin Man now -- he says he was born at the wrong time. How many times have we read that here on YouTube?
