Murphy Jax returns after his breakthrough single on the venerable Clone Records. A four track EP of anthemic vocal house music laced with Detroit strings, Chicago acid, and dystopian chords.
'We Dance' offers an epic meditation on dancing into the Apocalypse. 'It's Time to Bump' is a modern acid classic, featuring emotional strings and vintage breaks. 'Suburban Path' pushes its dark sci-fi mood to a widescreen mindspace. Meanwhile, '8Bit Epos' showcases a lighter shade of his sound -- a spacey, Italo-minded synth jam.
Freak Seven, hot off their excellent release on Rush Hour, deliver a heavy futuristic take on 'We Dance,' packed with thundering toms and psychedelic effects.
