The US has carried out thirty drone attacks on alleged al-Qaeda targets inside Pakistani territory since last summer, killing an estimated 250 people. The Predator attacks highlight the US militarys increased use of unmanned aerial vehicles and other robotic devices on the battlefield. We speak to P.W. Singer, a former defense policy adviser to President Obamas election campaign and author of Wired For War: The Robotics Revolution and Conflict in the 21st Century.

It's just the next logical step in warfare but it's a bad idea sit at the dinner table with your kids after you just killed a dozen Taliban.

Nothing new !!! During WWII the Germans would send "doddle bugs". These were self propelled bombs that would fly over and when they ran out of gas, would fall upon England. I remember my parents telling me that as long as you heard the noisy engine, you were OK...when it silenced...you hit the ground.
