Legendary trumpeteer Herb Alpert released "North On South St" on A&M Records in 1991. Many of you clubheads will remember the lead single and video which featured some insane moves from some of LA's dopest underground crews.

Not too many folks are familiar with any other songs outside of the two singles from that album.

"Where's Tommy?" was one of my favorite tracks off of that album.

THE ONLY REASON I am posting this track is because the album is out of print, and it is NOT available on I-Tunes. I own the album. Thats as far as it goes...

I used a few snippets from the "North On South St" video. Visit www.herbalpert.com for more info on this musician.

peace.

  • FYI When Mr. Alpert is asking the question "where is Tommy" he's refering to the famous Tom Brown. A close friend of Herb that also is known for his mad ass skills with the trumpet. he's just as bad , the boy can blow \O/

  • @maxwaxman63 WOW Thanks for that info, that just makes it even more intriguing. Much appreciated, I will be searching Tom Brown right after this post. Thanks once again. peace

  • My dad has this CD. It was one of my favorite CD's of my childhood and this was my favorite track. During this song I always imagined a girl walking through the woods and this weird gargoyle thing was fallowing her. She then comes to a house where a lady says that "He's late".

  • lol. Interesting theory.

  • I have been looking for this album on CD for so long. I have the cassette. LOL!!!! That's how long ago I bought it. This was such a fun album from him. "Where's Tommy" was my favorite track! Thanks!

  • This track was dope!!! Still is a solid joint, brings me back to the "clubhead" days... lol You can find the CD on Amazon, Thats where I got my my recently purchased copy. peace
