Watch Mike Hartsock from WHIO-TV get a pie in the face from patients at Dayton Children's for a successful Miracle Match during the 2008 Children's Miracle Network Telethon. Tune in May 30-31 on WHIO-TV (Ch. 7) for the 2009 Telethon.

At the CMN Celebration in Orlando in March, WHIO-TV and K99.1FM were recognized for their work on our telethon/radiothon. WHIO-TV received an award for the best Miracle Match spot. WHIO-TV was also a finalist in the award categories for TV Phone Pitch, TV Montage and TV Innovative Segment. The phone pitch was video of the kids raising enough money during the telethon to toss a pie in Mike Hartsocks face on the air; the montage was last years kids faces to music and the innovative piece was the story of Devon Eleys CMN Champion trip to Disney and D.C. All of these were created by our talented producer, Tom Housley.

K99.1FM was a finalist in the Radio Imaging category for the promo spot Nancy Wilson recorded of Devon Eley promoting the radiothon.

All of these pieces were shown on the big screen at the Miracles in Media Awards Saturday night. Its very exciting to have Dayton Children's chosen among hundreds of entrants, then recognized in front of this large group from all over the US, Canada, Ireland, England and Australia.
