I love this Consul, even that Buick V8 seems right for it. I'd love to do one like the Hirohata Mercury, like mother and daughter.

Sounds great - but it's a Zodiac, not a Consul

@Sids60sSounds Can't believe I missed that, although when I posted this up I probably wasn't as clued up about the differences as I am now. I like my facts to be right, so thanks for the correction! :-)

really nice car there, but if you want my opinion ditch the su's and go for a edelbrock they are way better and thats the setup i got and its working fine, but thats just my opinion any way like i said nice car.

@nathanx1275 Not my car, saw it at a show I was at last year. I've heard that from a lot of folk for the Rover V8, my first car was an MGB GT with twin SUs (stock, like the Rover V8) and the upgrade of choice was twin Webbers, but they take the 1.8 consumption down closer to 3.5 figures! You said it man, it's all about opinion, some people want power and peak performance, others just want reliability and/or originality... or just what they know and are used to!

are these air filters pulling in hot air?

@AdamH108TA Dunno, seems to be a common setup for twin SUs on a Rover V8.
