"When we look at the universe and all it's component parts as independent building blocks we ignore the interaction we as observers are subject to. The basic property of continuity or "reality" is not the independent isolated building blocks but the flow of interaction itself."
@SubTachyon The effect is small that is why I had to start talking about quantum mechanics. General Relativity explains spacetime as geometry, but it does not explain how that geometry is formed. We need a deeper understanding of quantum mechanics for that. Our thought processes could then be seen as the most advanced part of a universal process.
@nickharvey7 Don't bring quantum mechanics into a discussion about relativity. I am not saying that thought processes are not affected by general relativity but the extent of its effect is miniscule and irrelevant to what you were originally talking about.
@SubTachyon This idea only works if time is a continuous process formed by the wave-particle duality of light or EMR. This is very speculative, but we do not need to create new energy we only have to convert light waves into photons of quantized energy. Each new photon will have a position in space and time as part of the passage of time this is way we have the general theory of relativity.
@nickharvey7 How does that adress the two central problems with your idea? You do not dilate time with your thoughts because you do not create a new energy you simply convert it. The only way is by increasing the concentration of that energy which is plausible but we are still talking about such minute energy levels that general theory of relativity is still irrelevant.
@SubTachyon Is it not the other way round and we convert electrical energy into chemical energy? Would this not form electromagnetic fields that would have to have a position in space and time?

I like the song because somehow it is morbid or dark feeling; creepy.

The geometry and phisics you speak about works only in your head since there are no true points, lines or any true closed sistems in this universe .
