and it wasn't even the fires and "riots" that scared me it was the police squad that came running in like psychos with batons and sheilds and helmets, thats when we got up and left cause they were looking like they were ready to beat people down!!! yes, some people looted and destroyed things but it wasn't nearly as bad as all the coverage makes it out to be. I think the heat, lack of water and unsanitary conditions were FAR worse than any "rioting".
