Incredibly beautiful... I don't know what the intent of this music was intended to be, but I cannot listen to this piece without tears in my eyes. Exquisite, lovely beyond words.

@Poisonchicken Every recorded interpretation by every conductor and orchestra AND soloist is copyrighted material which belong to the artists and their record company. The only thing "public domain" here is the sheet music (if the edition they use is old enough - and it rarely is).

Who the heck is Henry Adolph? Never heard of him. A google search points to at least one page that says his name is a bogus one that occurs occasionally in some classical music metadata tags. It does not appear that he exists at all!

@TalosLives No, it's probably not the real name of the conductor. I don't know much about this phenomenon but appearently there are many recordings by "fake" orchestras and conductors. The recordings were made with real, serious performers however; the names were always changed slightly. This was due to something that I can't remember, by someone who's name I can't remember either. These recordings are often found in large CD-boxes and Best-ofs and such.
