When this video was taken Namsaknoi had already retired from competitive fighting, but had decided to return to the ring, which makes it all the more disappointing that my computer crashed and I lost the footage of the fight, (against Salatan Keatkorvit, which Namsaknoi won). I know that since this night, he has fought again, and appeared in exhibitions around Thailand however I don't know if he still fights at present. As well as his accolades of fighter of the year and 6 year undefeated champion of Lumpinee Stadium, he was awarded special prize on two separate years for having the 'best Wai Kru'. Literally translated Wai Kru means 'Respect to the teacher', however it may also carry a religious significance (if the fighter so wants it). I use this particular Wai Kru, (floor routine only), when I fight, to pay respect to all my teachers, and aslo Namsaknoi, who taught me it. Despite having lost the fight footage, the video of a Thai Muay Thai legend performing his award winning routine, stands alone as a worthy video in itself.

  • namsaknoi taught u this? wow, u are lucky!!

  • @saechizzle69 Yes mate but not just me. When this video was taken he was teaching at CHORENRIT GYM in Koh Phangan. Now I'm not sure if he is still there, I know since then he went to RAWAI MUAYTHAI in Phuket for a while. Not only did he teach me everyday, but he was my cornerman for 2 fights, he speaks English very well and he was more than pleased to teach Wai Kru to all the students,he also taught me his own routine. If I find out where he teaches now, I will make a comment

  • @OmaRex thats not muslim lol.. if its muslim he wont do the wai khru like dzhabar askerov,,

  • @OmaRex The part where he shoots the arrow is Hindu from the Ramayana or in thai Ramaklien and depicts Rama Shooting a magic deer for Sita his wife. Rama is one of the main Hindu Gods.
