Also, to all the guys wanting to join NOW, its much harder. AND don't expect to be shipping any sooner than 7 or more months from now. Everything is full.

@aaron1719 I'm 28, and I'm enlisting after I graduate from college in September. But I don't know how common that is.

Hows it going man. I'm currently 21, and only have about a year of college completed. I was just curious if a lot of the people in basic are straight out of highschool or if the age range is pretty varied. How old were you when you enlisted? I feel like I might be too old, I'm kind of freaked out to be 26 when I get out lol.

i think my body with acne is a waiver hopefully.

@TheRealTaco87 how did you study for the asvab?Any specific books or websites
-
fireflies? :) just a random comment...

i know that the navy asks you about if you have ever smoked marajuana and if you have they'll give you a waiver as long as your drug test is clean, do they do the same thing in the army and will they give you a waiver too?

how long after the recruiters station does it take to get to meps?
Oh. And how long were you running before you shipped out? I started running in July. I can run a 7 minute mile. I have to be able to run 6 miles by August when I start ROTC though. What was your routine? Im thinkning about running 3 days a week (MWF) but 3 miles each day. And then a fast 1 mile run on the weekends.

That's a good routine. Keep it up. When it starts getting closer do 2 miles. That's what my battle buddy says (he's a great runner). I ran every other day for about 3 months before Basic.. Just keep running and keep a positive attitude.

I got an AFQT score of 82. I scored in the 97 percentile for verbal skills. 74 percentile for math skills and 98 percentile for science and technical skills. Science I scored in the 97-98 percentiles. Electronics I scored in the 99 percentile. So can I do anything I want?

If you got an AFQT score of 82 then you pretty much have your choice of picking.
