10 diffused RGB LED lights. There are two NXP PCA9635 LED driver chips, each driving 5 RGB LEDs. The PCA9635 uses a Two Wire Interface (TWI) (aka I2C), making it easy to add multiple LED drivers.

  • Nice looking video!

Do you have some example code that you can share. I am trying to just test a single PCA9635 and not getting it to work in C and a MikroElektronika BigAVR2 board with an ATmega2560.

  • I used some PCA9635 before. The ic can handle 3.3V and 5V Power. However, I tried 5V and the ic broke. I then used 3.3V. It worked. Another proble - I tried 4 IC on one i2c bus. It didn't work! Only two IC max. on the same bus. But datasheet says upto 126 can be on the same bus....
