  • I'm a NOLA gal whose parents lost their home of 50 years in Katrina. I've returned to my city yearly since college, to Jazz Festival, and to see my friends, and Charmaine & her great Neville family, Detroit and the other fine members of her band at Snug Harbor or wherever they mingle in music. Thanks for Detroit's expression of love reminding everyone that while nature wrecks lives constantly everywhere, it is the people themselves who save the places they love.

  • I just got back from a mission trip in New Orleans. It was there that I had the pleasure of meeting Detroit. He brought some great food to the crew I was on that was rebuilding a house in St. Bernard Parrish. He was so upbeat and so thankful. Detroit, I speak for my entire crew when I say, we thank you and we love you.

  • Thank you soooo much, I've gotten so much hope just listening to your words! I know by the grace of God we will mend on broken pieces! God bless you! Soooo inspirational!

  • Yeah ya right Detroit. Love you man. Keep the faith.
