Part 1 of 4 - Apartheid - Desmond Tutu & F.W. de Klerk

A series of 10 programs from 2006 called "They Made History" about great personalities such as Desmond Tutu, Madeleine Albright, Viktor Yushchenko, Daniel Ortega among others, and their struggle for their belief, their goals.

This is one of those 10, and I'm not going to upload the other ones unless asked to.

One of the most interesting things to pay attention to is the difference between Tutu and de Klerk. Tutu has close to no ego at all, while de Klerk has a huge pompous ego. Desmond Tutu is such a wise man, while de Klerk is plain stupid.

At the end of the program they're both asked "How would you like to be remembered?" - Very different answers to the same question.

Bishop Tutu lived in BishopsCourt, in a wealthy house in an elitist area during the apartheid era. Although he visited the townships he never lived among the people. He lived better than I did at the time, even though we both lived under apartheid and I am white.

yes indeed De Klerk is a Great man. and yes people acknowledge this. Afrikaners should be proud to have De Klerk and other great men like General Constand amongst them. And happy would be the day when blacks vote a white man for president.
