Short video feature covering events at the launch of Lambhil Community Council's [LCC]
'Heritage and Local History Fayer'. Industrial Archaeologist, Professor John Hume gave an insightful talk on the history of Lambhill and the many industries that used to be based there.
Bill Taylor, author, local resident and expert on Lambhill was present to talk to friends and locals about his book " A Short History Of Lambhill, Possil And The Lands Of The North West."
With contributions from local residents and information stalls from Culture and Sport Glasgow, The Waterways Trust Scotland, Scottish Wildlife Trust, North Glasgow Community Health and Care Partnership.
Lambhill Community Council also ran barge trips for local people to experience the canal on the water and the "green corridor" that it runs through in North Glasgow.
The LCC are developing the old stables building beside Lambhill Bridge to be put to community use.
