we could be farming in space with genetically engineered plants that can grow in a single day with the unrestricted light from the sun. the same with alge in space fishtanks that could make whatever oxygen we need. both could be turned into bio-fuel to e used in our current cars. we could also be using our gas engines in cars as electric generators like those used to back up buildings. in-wheel electric motors would make all of our cars faster and more efficient, without needing new cars

i'm a pretty selfish person, so if we can come up with a way to make synthetic ribeye steak and fishtank grown bluefin tuna for sushi, i'll be a happy camper. if i knew for sure, that nothing could ever affect the ocean algae that makes 75% of the oxygen we breath, i'd say level every tree we need for my mansion, we've got plenty of seeds in storage on ice somewhere.

the one thing we can't deny is that the world has problems. it may be true that the green movement could be hurting sections of our economy that are the most harmful to our childrens' future, or perhaps they're just the easier of targets. but why have a society, with education, and a military that protects it, if we're insuring the eventual destruction of the animals we eat and soil we grow in and water we drink.
