Portishead haven't been in the States for 10 years and it's been 3 years since the last album. They were here in LA for Coachella music festival. Mayan Theater is an amazing venue with (you've guessed) with an Aztec design inside and out.

I updated info - yep in LA. Tix free. Not a surprise band - drummer is the same from Bristol who has played with them (and Roni Size Reprazent) since the 90s, along with the 3 key members of Portishead.

WTF? I live in LA (in fact, I'm going to the Mayan tonight to see Hot Chip) and had no idea this "rehearsal" show was taking place. Where & when was it announced?!?
