@NikeySunfire There is low power states, what is power management for? And most modern cheaper PC's use like only 20 or 30 watts when in a state like that. I don't need this or the separate print server PC anymore. I quit printing shortly after this video in favor of just saving anything I would normally print to a PDF with doPDF (google it, it's free)

@ChiefLeftenant Using that method you suggest requires your old PC to be ON if you try to print something from another PC, while using a dedicated print server , will make printing independant

why not just use windows built in print server? have the printer connected to the least used PC in the house. and everyone can print to it. Anyway who prints anymore? Ever heard of a print to .pdf file? Google doPDF. you will never need to print to paper again.
