@TakumaMimura You do not speak for me or MANY MANY fans who DO NOT want Dennis back. Styx are awesome just the way they are.
Larry is an amazing addition and replacement for Dennis who was taking the band in a direction they did not want to go.

Dennis DeYoung Stop Crying , you wanted to play Rockstar " You Need Me More & I want more cash" And the band moved on without you ! Saw Styx 3 Times Front Row 10 Seat 10 ( sleep out for tickets) & was like seeing 3 shows in one because the band was so talented ! Dennis if you tour in FL would come see you !!!!!!!!

@styxfan99 I grew up with Styx. What killed them was Dennis' insistence on theatrical productions instead of just being a rock band. Paradise Theater was the beginning of it, and Kilroy was the end. That's it. In just 2 albums, Dennis managed to kill any credibility Styx ever had with a rock audience. I stopped listening. I thought they had become a joke, found out recently that all the other members thought so too. In 2006 I saw them with Lawrence, who lets them be a band. Much better now.

i know who dennis is and he has a great voice and everything. but what got me into styx i saw how heavy and hard they rocked in the paridise dvd. i hate styx' recordings even though they are my favorite band. dennis is to candyass, shaw was the metal in the band which i like better

styx live is 10000x better than the recordings. and that is the styx i like LIVE. however i did not live during the time but. i heard that styx's popularity dropped when dennis wrote softrock songs..( besides babe) thats why i do not miss dennis. gowan throws a better show.

Gowan brings a different presence to the live show.
Dennis was the primary writer of 8 of Styx' Top 10 hits. He definitely expanded their popularity.

I think I speak for most when I say that we all want Dennis back. But until that happens (if it happens) Lawrence is a good stand in.

Many long time fans want Dennis back. Sadly, there is a whole genration of fans that only know the current lineup and don't even know who Dennis is.
