I'm PGS Andy and today we're having another look at the seemingly endless tonal variations of the Empress Multidrive. This time around we'll be focusing on the Multidrive's parallel stacking possibilities, and how they might be used for sculpting tones in a live setting. The Empress Multidrive's innovative parallel design can be compared to a mixing board, where each isolated
channel can be blended into the mix, or pulled out entirely, without affecting the other channels. For example, in a live setting you might have fuzz, drive, and distortion all on, and then use each channel's volume knob like a console's fader to create your "mix" of dirt sounds on the fly. As we'll see, this strategy can really maximize the full tone-blending potential of the Empress
Multidrive.- http://proguitarshop.com/store/effects-distortion-pedals-c-602_12/empress-eff...

  • 1:13

Canadian made pedal next to that American Patriotic strat???

  • @josephcintron1980 hi , could that be solved by using a second pedal after the multidrive ?? just i currently use ibanez ts808 but im gonna get a multidrive very soon . thanks

  • This seriously lays all other dirt boxes to rest, and from a great manufacturer like Empress! Awesome! These demos are great! Please keep em coming! I can take my name off the King of Tone waiting list now! Who needs it? This sounds way better and I don't have to wait two years to get it! Thanks Andy and PGS! Hope to see some more demos of boutique stuff like Skreddy or Catalinbread,

  • I have the pedal, my only problem is the Select switch. you can only have 2 options on at the same time. so lets say F for Fuzz, O overdrive, D distortion. you can only have these combination FOD, FO, OD, FD, F, O, and D. so you can choose 2 of thse combination by opening up the pedal and flicking some switches. I was hoping you could just select all the functions by just continuing to click the select switch, but you cant. wish there was an ABC switch so i dont have to open pedal up everytime

  • Could this be the holy grail of pedals? Totally going to be getting one of these!

  • The Incomparable Mr. Andy!

  • I love it when Andy plays Clutch riffs.
