In today's lesson, you will learn how to Criss Cross Crochet. Get rid of the boring railway track looking in your crochet projects and perform a criss cross stitch technique. It takes a bit longer but the end results may be worth the effort. I like using this stitch for simple little things like hats, purses and more. It works well when there's an even number stitch count happening because the Stitches work in groups of 2.

  • I caught on to this right away. You have a wonderful Talent. I love your hands and i love your time and consideration. You are an excellent teacher.

  • What a great stitch....it took me a minute to see how u did the criss cross, but after about the fifth time you did it I understood. Your tutorials are easy to understand and I thank you for that....I am just beginning but watching your crochet videos has taken me to heights a beginner could never dream of going....I love the bobble stitch and I am making two afghans with this stitch, but my next one I am going to try this stitch...Thanks Mikey for all of your help...

  • Mikey, I've told you this a thousand times but, you're a great teacher! I make hats for babies at my local hospital. I am gonna make a blanket for the newborns and preemies. Thank you so much!

  • I am looking for the video you did on a curtain flower, it had little buds in the center and five pedals, and the single crochet edging around each pedal...please send the link or number of the video...thanks in advance for your help...

  • @cometmoon I think it will be fun to use both ways. It makes that you can let your work look different.

  • @Momwithahook Yes it is aways fun to have more stitches. I'll still make lots of things.

  • @Simunaya This is the way I learned it too. Now we have two ways.

  • lol, for some reason I kept going to the front to do this stitch when I first attempted a while ago. Now that I see how Mikey's done it, I'm feeling more confident in doing this stitch more often :)

    Thanks for the upload ^.^

  • You do the criss cross stitch picking the second stitch from the back.. As child I have leared it by picking up the second stitch at the frond.. That gives it an other look. Butch it is a second way to do it. (I learned to crochet about 55 years ago.).
